Are branches open?

Yes, our branches are staffed to assist you, but we have gone to drive-thru only during normal business hours. All departments are staffed and available by phone at 1.866.399.3762

Lobbies will remain closed during the duration of the Shelter in Place order issued by Governor Whitmer.

Can I still open an account?

Yes, and you can complete the majority of the process online from the safety of your home. For anything you absolutely need to come in for, our drive thru windows are still open for business.

What are my options to deposit and withdraw cash?

Our drive-thru is available at both locations for you to make deposits and withdrawals during normal business hours, and our ATMs are available 24/7. To find a surcharge-free ATM near you, click here. You can also find it under the “More” Menu in your mobile app. Just click “Assist” and then “ATM Locations.”

What if I need to deposit a check?

You can deposit checks from your mobile device with our remote deposit feature. Just click the “Move Money” button in your app. Our drive-thru is available at both locations for you to make deposits during normal business hours, and our ATM is available 24/7 to make deposits as well.

Who do I contact about card disputes and fraud?

You can call the credit union at 1.866.399.3762 and choose option 3 for Card Services.

How do I get a replacement debit or credit card?

Give our Card Services team a call for all your debit and credit card needs. They are available during regular business hours at 1.866.399.3762, Option 3.

What if I am not able to make my payments on time due to COVID-19 and the state shut down?

We’re in this together, and we are always here to help you navigate your financial journey. Check out our newly expanded Skip A Pay program which allows you to skip your payment on eligible loans. Access this program through online banking, our mobile app, or by calling 616-887-8262 Ext. 226.

Will my online bill payment be posted as scheduled?

Yes, all online bill payments will be processed normally.

Will my direct deposit funds be available to me?

Yes, there have been no changes to direct deposits, ACH transactions, or Debit and Credit Card processing. You can access your funds with online banking, the mobile app, or via our drive through windows and ATMs.

Who do I contact about a loan that was already being processed for me?

If you were working with a Personal Banker, they are still available by phone at the credit union. We have new technology in place for you to sign your loan documents remotely if needed.

Can I still apply for a loan?

Certainly, we have a new 120 Day No Payments loan to help out. You can apply for loans online, in our mobile app, or over the phone with a Personal Banker.

* Loans must be established with at least twelve consecutive payments made from the loan disbursement. Delinquent or bankruptcy accounts are not eligible. By skipping your loan payment for one month, you authorize Compass Credit Union to extend your final loan payment. Finance charges will continue to accrue on your unpaid balance. When payments resume, unpaid interest will be collected first. Your regular monthly payment will resume immediately following the month you skip. All accounts must be in good standing to take advantage of this offer. Visa® credit card, home equity line of credit, and line of credit, do not qualify. Compass Credit Union reserves the right to deny any Skip-A-Payment request. Maximum of One Skip-A-Payment per calendar year, with at least 60 days between skipped payments, with a lifetime maximum of no more than five per loan. Coupon must be signed by member to be valid. The Credit Union reserves the right to determine if prior subsequent actions may disqualify your loan. If you elected GAP Insurance Coverage, the coverage will not be extended beyond the original maturity date.

** By completing a Skip-A-Payment you are requesting Compass Credit Union to advance the loan due date equal to one month’s payment. You understand that interest will continue to accrue on your loan balance.

*** You must meet the credit union criteria for loan approvals and payment deferment.  Such as being a Member in Good Standing for one example. All loans are reviewed locally by the credit union. New money only. Cannot refinance current Compass Credit Union loans.
